What's really happening in your Google Ads?

You’re running ads. You probably think you know how they’re performing. But most accounts — ecommerce, trades, services — have systematic problems hiding in plain sight: keywords bidding against themselves, landing pages that don’t match the ad, audiences that are too broad, tracking that’s incomplete or broken.

An audit finds them. It’s not a consultancy or a sales pitch. It’s a single diagnostic: here’s what’s leaking money, here’s what’s not being measured properly, and here’s the priority order to fix it.

What's included in a PPC audit

Get the truth

Most audits find 3–7 major problems and 20+ small ones. The big ones usually account for 30–50% of wasted spend. You’ll know exactly what to fix and in what order.

Audit scope & pricing

Audits are scoped per account, not a generic template. If you run Search and Shopping, it takes longer than Search-only. If you have complex conversion tracking, that gets detailed review. I quote on a call after you’ve told us your account size and complexity. Most Bilston and West Midlands businesses find the audit costs £500–£2,000 depending on depth. You get a written report and a 30-minute walkthrough. Then you decide what to do with it — hire us to fix it, or hand it to your current agency.

How an audit works

  1. Scope callTell us about your account, your budget, your current performance, and what worries you most. I quote from there.
  2. Access setupYou give us read-only access (Google Ads, Google Analytics, ideally Merchant Center if you run Shopping).
  3. Deep dive analysis2–5 days depending on scope. We map everything: structure, keywords, audiences, tracking, landing pages, creative.
  4. Written report + debriefDetailed findings, severity ranking (must-fix vs. nice-to-fix), action roadmap. 30-minute call to walk through it.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to hire you to fix the problems?

No. The audit is standalone. We’ll tell you what’s broken and prioritise the fixes. You decide who implements them — your team, us, or someone else.

How long does an audit take?

2–5 days for us to run it, depending on account complexity. You’ll have a report within a week from the day you grant access.

What if the audit shows everything's fine?

That happens sometimes. If your account structure is tight, tracking is solid, and creative is being tested, you might just need more budget or a bid strategy tweak. We’ll tell you that too.

Can you audit shopping (Google Merchant Center) as well?

Yes. Shopping audits cover feed quality, title/description optimisation, product type hierarchy, and pricing issues. Worth including if you run ecommerce in Bilston or sell into the surrounding West Midlands area.

How much does an audit cost?

Quoted per account after we understand scope. Simple Search-only accounts might be £500–£800. Complex multi-channel accounts with shopping and offline tracking might be £1,500–£2,000. We’ll give you a fixed price before we start.

Do you do ongoing audits?

Not usually. But if you want quarterly reviews (say, every 90 days), we can set that up as part of a consulting or management engagement. One-off audits are the main thing.
