What a PPC audit actually finds

You’re spending money on Google Ads. But where’s it actually going? Most accounts leak money somewhere — wrong bid strategy, bad audience settings, untracked conversions, paused campaigns that should be live, ad copy that doesn’t match the landing page.

An audit is a one-time diagnostic. I dig through your account, find the problems, tell you what they cost you, and give you a roadmap to fix them. No pressure to hire me after — you get the findings and do what you want with them.

An audit covers

Not a sales pitch

I audit your account and tell you what I find. If you don’t hire me, that’s fine. I’ve walked into accounts where the fix is cheap (a keyword tweak, a bid adjustment) and doesn’t require ongoing management. I’ll tell you that.

What you get

A written report with findings, estimated monthly impact of each problem, and a prioritised list of fixes. Some are quick (change bid strategy, add negative keywords). Some take more work (rebuild account structure, retarget audience). You decide what to action and when.

How an audit works

  1. Share accessYou give me read-only access to your Google Ads account and any tracking data (Google Analytics, conversion pixels, etc.).
  2. Deep diveI spend time in your account, pull data, look for waste and opportunities.
  3. Report & debriefYou get a written report and a call to walk through findings and priorities.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an audit cost?

That depends on account complexity — size, number of campaigns, how much tracking you’ve got. I’ll give you a quote once we talk through what you need. No upfront charge for the initial conversation.

Do audits work for small businesses in St Austell?

Yes. Whether you’re spending £500/month or £5,000/month, there’s usually something to find. The ROI on the audit is usually quick — most clients save the cost of the audit in the first month of fixes.

Will you just find problems or also tell me how to fix them?

Both. The report includes findings, impact, and a roadmap. If you want me to fix them, we can talk about ongoing management or a project-based engagement.

What if my tracking is broken?

That’s exactly what an audit finds. Broken tracking means you don’t know what’s converting, so you’re probably bidding wrong. We’ll identify the gaps and tell you how to fix them.

Can you audit if someone else manages my account?

Yes. I can review your account structure, campaigns, targeting, and performance without taking it over. If you need the person currently managing it to know, that’s on you — but technically, no.

How long does an audit take?

The review is usually 3–5 days depending on account size. The report and debrief come after. Total turnaround is usually 1–2 weeks.
