Most Google Ads accounts are broken in ways you don't see

You might be getting leads or sales, but you’re leaving money on the table. Tracking might be misconfigured — so you think a campaign is profitable when it’s actually bleeding. Or your keywords are too broad, capturing searches with no intent. Or you’ve got duplicate campaigns doing the same job. These issues creep in quietly. By the time you spot them, you’ve wasted months of budget.

What an audit uncovers

What you get from an audit report

A clear summary of what’s working, what’s not, and what to fix first. Prioritised recommendations: quick wins (pause that keyword), medium-lift changes (restructure this campaign), and strategic shifts (try this audience segment). You get the findings in writing and a summary call to walk through the action plan.

Sometimes your ads are actually working — and we'll tell you that

Not every account needs fixes. If your setup is sound and you’re hitting your targets, I’ll say so. But most accounts have at least one chunk of spend that could move to higher-intent buckets.

Audit process

  1. Scope callWe discuss your business, current performance, and what’s triggering the audit. You grant me read-only access to Google Ads, GA4, and conversion data.
  2. Deep audit (3–5 days)I review account structure, keywords, audiences, tracking, creative, bid strategy, and spend patterns. I cross-check with your GA4 and conversion data.
  3. Written report + summary callYou get a prioritised findings report with specific actions. We do a 30–60 minute call to walk through it and answer questions.

Typical audit scope and cost

Audits are quoted based on account size and complexity. A small account (under £2k/month spend, single campaign) might be £400–£600. A medium account (£2–£10k/month, multiple campaigns) might be £800–£1,500. A large account (£10k+/month, complex structure) might be £2,000+. We’ll discuss scope on the call and agree a fee before work starts.

Frequently asked questions

What if I'm in Bridgwater and my Google Ads account is a mess?

An audit will give you a clear map of what’s broken and how to fix it. Even if you fix it yourself, knowing where the waste is saves you thousands.

Do I have to buy ongoing management after an audit?

No. An audit is one-off. If you want to fix things yourself, go for it. If you’d rather have help implementing the recommendations, we can discuss management then.

Can I audit just one campaign?

Yes. Scope is flexible. But a single-campaign audit might miss cross-account issues like budget allocation between campaigns or keyword overlap. We’ll discuss what makes sense.

How long does an audit take?

Typically 5–7 days from start to final report. I do the deep dive, write the report, and we have a summary call.

Will you recommend changes I can't implement myself?

No. Every recommendation assumes you’re making the changes in Google Ads. If something requires advanced setup, I’ll explain it clearly or offer to implement it for you (separate fee).

Is this suitable for Gwent home services businesses?

Absolutely. If you’re a plumber, roofer, or other trades business in Bridgwater or the surrounding region, an audit will quickly show if your Google Ads are reaching real customers or burning budget on poor targeting.
