What a PPC audit finds

Your Google Ads have been running for months—or years. You see the spend, you see some leads or sales, but you don’t have a clear picture of what’s working and what’s a leak.

An audit is a forensic look: conversion tracking accuracy, audience overlap, bid strategy leaks, landing page mismatches, seasonal gaps. I pull all the data, analyse it, and tell you what’s costing you money and what you should do about it.

The audit covers

Real diagnosis, not sales pitch

If your ads are fine—already profitable, tracking is sound, you’re capturing the demand in your market—I’ll say so. I’ve turned down management work for clients whose ads don’t need it.

But if there’s low-hanging fruit (misaligned keywords, a bad landing page, gaps in conversion tracking), the audit will find it and give you a roadmap to fix it. You do the work yourself, or you hire someone—that’s up to you.

When an audit makes sense

You’ve been running Google Ads for 3+ months. You’re seeing some revenue, but you’re not confident you’re not wasting money. Or an agency promised the world and you want an independent second opinion. Or you want to hand off to someone new and need a clean baseline first.

The audit process

  1. Scope & quoteYou share account access (read-only), business goals, and current performance data. I quote a fixed fee based on account complexity.
  2. Analysis1–2 weeks. I pull Google Ads, Analytics, and search term data. Build spreadsheets, spot gaps, prioritise findings.
  3. Presentation & recommendationsVideo walk-through or call. Here’s what I found, here’s the impact, here’s what to do. You own the roadmap.

Frequently asked questions

I'm in Ferndown—will you understand my market?

Yes. I audit based on your data (conversion rates, customer behaviour, keyword performance), not assumptions about your market. But I do know Dorset and the surrounding areas (Wimborne Minster, Ringwood, Christchurch, Poole), so context helps.

How long is the audit report?

Depends on account size. A small account might yield a 10-page report with 5–7 recommendations. A complex account could be 30+ pages. Either way, you get actionable findings—no fluff.

Will you recommend I hire you to fix things?

Honest answer: possibly. If the audit finds structural issues (broken tracking, wrong bid strategy), fixing them requires ongoing management. But I’ll lay out the options: DIY, hire someone else, or work with me. Your choice.

What data do you need access to?

Read-only access to your Google Ads account and Google Analytics (or GA4). Optionally, your CRM data if it affects how you define conversions.

How much does an audit cost?

Depends on account complexity and depth. Typical range: £500–£1,500 for a small to mid-sized account. Call for a quote.

Can you audit other PPC channels (LinkedIn, Facebook)?

I specialise in Google Ads. I can provide strategic guidance on multi-channel spend, but the detailed audit is Google-focused.
