What a PPC audit actually finds

You’re spending money on Google Ads. But you don’t know if you’re spending it well.

Ad spend is like a leak in your pipes. You won’t see it until someone looks. Keyword mismatches, broken tracking, lazy bid strategies, wrong audience settings, creatives that aren’t converting. Each one individually costs you money. Combined, they can cost you thousands.

A proper audit finds the leaks.

What I audit

How the audit works

  1. You grant accessGive me read-only access to your Google Ads account. Takes 2 minutes. I’ll need at least 30 days of performance data (usually available immediately).
  2. Deep diveI spend 8–12 hours reviewing your account. I’m looking for waste, gaps, and missed opportunity. I’ll also check your analytics and conversion tracking setup.
  3. Written reportYou get a detailed report (usually 10–20 pages) with findings, specific recommendations, and estimated impact. No fluff; every point is actionable.

Fixed scope, no surprises

The audit is a one-off diagnostic. You get the report. You decide what to do with it—hire me to implement, take it in-house, or do nothing. No obligation, no upsell.

What happens after

The report will include recommendations. Maybe you want me to implement them—I can quote that separately. Maybe you want to tackle it in-house—that’s fine, the report is detailed enough. Maybe you’ll hand it to your current manager—also fine. It’s your call.

Sometimes the audit shows your ads are actually fine. Happens. I’ll still tell you that, and save you the cost of hiring someone to fix what isn’t broken.

Why audit now?

Most businesses leave 20–40% of their ad spend on the table. Usually it’s fixable without increasing budget—just redirecting what you’re already spending. An audit costs a few hundred pounds and can save you thousands. The math is simple.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an audit cost?

I’ll quote you after our initial call. Typically £400–£1,200 depending on account size and complexity. Small accounts are usually on the lower end; large accounts or complex multi-account setups are higher. I’ll always give you a fixed quote before starting.

How long does it take?

Once you grant access, usually 2–3 weeks for the full report. If you need it faster, I can accelerate; we’ll discuss that on the call.

What if the audit shows my ads are fine?

I’ll tell you that. You’ve still got data proving it, which is worth knowing. And there’s always something to optimise—bid strategy, creative testing, audience expansion. The report will highlight those smaller opportunities too.

Do I have to hire you to implement the findings?

No. The report is yours. You can take it to your current team, hire me, or implement it yourself. The audit is a one-off service with no follow-on obligation.

What about businesses in Leicestershire and nearby areas?

Same thing. Leicester, Loughborough, Syston, Hinckley—it doesn’t matter where you’re based. If you’re running Google Ads, I can audit it.

What access do you need to my account?

Read-only access to Google Ads and Google Analytics (if you use it). I won’t make any changes. You add me as a user with reporting-only permissions, and you can remove me anytime.
