You're spending on ads, but where's the money going?

It’s a common situation. You’ve got Google Ads running, you’re seeing traffic, but the cost-per-lead or cost-per-sale feels high. Or your conversion tracking is fuzzy and you don’t actually know what’s working. A PPC audit finds the leaks.

I’ll review your account, identify keywords that drain budget without converting, spot configuration issues that limit performance, and flag tracking problems that leave you blind to results. Then I’ll give you a prioritised action plan—quick wins first, strategic changes next.

What I audit

Most accounts have 20–40% waste within the first 60 days.

This isn’t a criticism—it’s normal. Google Ads rewards constant attention. An audit finds where to cut spend and where to invest more.

The audit process

  1. Access and briefYou give me access to Google Ads (read-only) and confirm your business goals and budget.
  2. Deep diveI spend 4–6 hours reviewing campaigns, keywords, performance data, and conversion tracking. I look for patterns and problems.
  3. Report and callYou get a written report with findings and a ranked list of actions. We do a call to discuss and answer questions.
  4. Implementation (optional)You implement the changes, or we can discuss ongoing management if you’d rather hand it off.

Honest findings

Sometimes an audit reveals that your ads are actually working well—you’re just paying premium rates because you have great offers and brands bid hard on your keywords. In that case, we might recommend accepting higher costs, or pausing ads and focusing on organic channels instead. I’ll tell you what I find, even if it means fewer billable hours for me.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an audit cost?

That depends on account size and complexity. Small accounts (1–3 campaigns) are usually £400–£800. Larger accounts £800–£2,000. Book a call with your account details and I’ll give you a firm quote.

What if I've only been running ads for a month?

An audit is less useful early on—you need at least 60 days of data to spot patterns. If you’re brand new, I’d recommend consulting instead to help you structure the account correctly from day one.

Do I have to act on your recommendations?

No. You get a report; you decide what to do with it. Some clients implement everything. Others cherry-pick. Some pause ads entirely based on findings. It’s your business.

Can you audit an account I don't have admin access to?

No—I need Google Ads access to see performance data, keywords, and tracking setup. Ask your agency or account owner to grant read-only access temporarily.

Will this tell me if Google Ads is right for my business?

Partly. An audit shows whether your current setup is efficient. But some businesses are fundamentally wrong for paid ads due to offer, pricing, or market size. The audit will help us both see that.

How long before I get the report?

Usually within a week of the audit. Small accounts might be 3–4 days. Larger accounts up to 10 days. I’ll give you a timeline upfront.
