A PPC audit is a diagnostic, not a sales pitch

You get a thorough, independent review of your Google Ads account. I look for waste: duplicate keywords, bad negatives, broken tracking, misaligned bids, poor landing page experience, conversion lag. I’ll find what’s costing you money and what’s actually working. You get a clear report. After that, what you do is up to you. No obligation. No upsell.

What a PPC audit covers

No fluff, no invented findings

I don’t pad audits with made-up problems to justify fees. If your account is solid, I’ll say so. If there’s waste, I show you exactly what it is and how much it’s costing.

What you typically discover

Common findings: broad match keywords draining budget on irrelevant searches; missing negative keywords costing 10–20% of spend; landing pages that don’t match ad promises; conversion tracking that’s broken or incomplete; bid strategies spending recklessly on low-intent traffic; ad extensions that are outdated or missing. Most accounts have at least one of these. Most have several. That means wasted money. That’s what we find.

How a PPC audit works

  1. You send accessRead-only access to your Google Ads account and (ideally) Google Analytics or whatever conversion tracking you use.
  2. I review end-to-endI spend 4–8 hours depending on account size, analysing structure, keywords, tracking, performance, and spend efficiency.
  3. Clear reportYou get a written report: what’s working, what’s wasting money, specific recommendations, and estimated savings.
  4. Optionally, a callIf you want to talk through findings and next steps, we can schedule a 30-minute debrief. Otherwise, the report stands alone.

After the audit, you decide next steps

You might use the report to fix things yourself. You might hire someone to implement the changes. You might decide to work with me ongoing. Or you might decide your account is fine and not act on anything. All of those are valid. I’m not here to convince you to spend more on consulting — just to give you the truth so you can make the right decision for your business.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a PPC audit cost?

Price depends on account size and complexity. Small accounts might be £300–£500; larger or more complex ones might be £800–£1500. I’ll quote after a brief conversation about your account setup. No surprises.

How long does an audit take?

Turnaround is usually 5–10 business days from the time I get access. I prioritise based on engagement.

Do audits cover Macclesfield-specific campaigns?

Absolutely. Whether you’re running local Macclesfield or Greater Manchester campaigns, national campaigns, or ecommerce, the audit process is the same. I’ll flag any location-targeting issues, local keyword gaps, or area-specific performance problems.

What if I don't implement the recommendations?

That’s fine. The audit is yours to use how you see fit. Some clients use it to brief an agency. Some use it to negotiate fees down with their current provider. Some implement it themselves over time. The report is a tool for you.

Can an audit guarantee results?

No. An audit identifies waste and opportunities; implementing changes and seeing results takes time and ongoing optimisation. Some recommendations are quick wins (adding negatives); others take weeks to show statistically significant ROI improvement.

What if you find my ads are fine?

Then the report will say so. You might get a few minor tweaks, but mostly you’ll get confirmation that you’re doing well. That’s valuable too — sometimes you just need to know you’re on the right track.
