Find the waste

Every Google Ads account has wasted spend — keywords that shouldn’t be there, bids too high, tracking that doesn’t work, ad copy that underperforms. The question is how much and where. An audit is a focused diagnostic to find those leaks and tell you exactly how to fix them. I’ll give you a report with specific, actionable findings. What you do with it is entirely up to you.

What an audit covers

Honest assessment

If your ads are running well, I’ll tell you. If there’s significant waste, I’ll show you. If something is fundamentally broken, I’ll be direct about it. You won’t get fluff or upselling — just a clear picture of what’s happening.

How the audit works

  1. You grant accessShare your Google Ads account (read-only). Takes 2 minutes.
  2. Deep diveI spend time in your account — keywords, ads, bids, tracking, performance data. I’ll also check what competitors are doing.
  3. ReportYou get a clear, structured report with findings, priorities, and specific recommendations.
  4. Debrief call30–45 minutes to walk through the findings, answer questions, and discuss next steps — if you want to take any.

Fixed scope, transparent pricing

Audits are one-off projects. I’ll quote based on account size and complexity after an initial conversation. There’s no obligation to hire me for ongoing management or consulting after the audit is done. Many clients in Rochdale and across Greater Manchester use audits to validate what they’re doing or to prepare for handing management to someone else.

When to audit

Get an audit if you’ve been running ads for 3+ months but feel like performance has plateaued, if you think there’s waste you can’t identify, if you’ve just inherited an account and don’t know its history, or if you’re considering switching agencies and want to understand what you’re working with right now.

Frequently asked questions

How long does an audit take?

3–5 working days. I’ll do the deep review, compile findings, and schedule a debrief call within that window.

What if I don't like the findings?

That’s okay. The report is yours to keep and share with anyone you want — your agency, your team, whoever. If you disagree with a finding, we can discuss it on the debrief call.

Can you audit an account managed by my current agency?

Yes. You own the account, so you can grant me read-only access. Your agency doesn’t need to know. Some clients in Greater Manchester and Rochdale do this to validate their agency’s work.

What if the audit shows major issues?

I’ll explain what needs to change and prioritise by impact. Some fixes are quick; some require rebuilding. If you want help implementing, we can talk about ongoing consulting or management — but that’s a separate conversation.

Do you offer partial audits or can I pick specific areas?

I can scope it to specific campaigns or channels if you prefer, and I’ll quote accordingly. But a full-account audit gives you the complete picture.

How much waste is typical?

It varies wildly — 10% to 40% is common. I’ve seen accounts where half the spend is wasted on poor keyword strategy or broken tracking. The audit will tell you where yours sits.
