What a PPC audit actually finds

You’ve been running Google Ads for months or years. You know roughly what you’re spending and what you’re getting back—but you don’t know why. Why is that keyword draining budget? Why are some ads disapproved? Why did conversion tracking stop working? An audit answers those questions.

A PPC audit covers

Why audits matter

Most businesses discover they’re wasting 20–30% of their ad spend on clicks that won’t ever convert. Sometimes it’s bad keywords, sometimes it’s tracking, sometimes it’s a landing page that’s been broken for six months. An audit finds it, quantifies it, and tells you how to fix it.

How an audit works

  1. Access and reviewYou grant me read-only access to your Google Ads account (and GA4 if you have it). I dive into the data.
  2. Deep analysisI review structure, tracking, performance, and historical data. This typically takes 4–8 hours depending on account size.
  3. Audit reportI deliver a written report with findings, priority issues, and exactly what to fix and in what order.
  4. Debrief callWe walk through the report, answer your questions, and discuss implementation.

No pitch, no upsell

The audit is standalone. If you want me to implement the fixes, we discuss management. If you want to fix it yourself or with your current team, that’s fine—you get the roadmap and own the process.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a PPC audit cost?

Pricing depends on account size and complexity—typically between £500 and £2,000. I quote after an initial call when you’ve shared what your setup looks like.

How long does an audit take?

Analysis usually takes 4–8 hours. You get a written report and a debrief call within 5–7 working days of access.

Do I have to implement the recommendations?

No. The audit is yours. You get a roadmap, and you decide what to do with it. Some clients do it themselves; some hire me to implement; some do nothing.

Will the audit recommend I hire you?

Honestly, maybe not. If your account is healthy and your team knows what they’re doing, I’ll tell you. An audit is a diagnosis, not a sales pitch.

Do you audit agencies' work?

Yes. If you want an independent review of your current agency’s account structure and strategy, that’s a common audit scope.

Can you audit my Skelmersdale account?

Yes. I audit accounts regardless of location—this is all done remotely with read-only account access.
