Your Ads Might Be Losing Money (And You Might Not Know It)

You set up Google Ads yourself, or someone else did. You’ve been running campaigns for weeks or months. You get leads or sales, so it feels like it’s working. But something nags at you: is this ROI normal? Should we be spending this much? Are we targeting the right people?

Most accounts I audit have significant waste hidden inside them. Bad keyword targeting. Poor quality scores. Landing pages that don’t match the ad. Tracking misconfigured so you don’t know which clicks actually convert. Audiences that sound good but convert terribly. These issues don’t show up in a quick dashboard glance.

What an Audit Covers

Tracking & Conversion Data

This is where audits often uncover big problems. Many accounts have broken conversion tracking or incomplete setup. You think a lead is worth £50, but your tracking only captures 60% of them. Or you’re tracking form submissions but not phone calls. Or you’re attributing everything to Brand keywords when the real converters are product keywords.

I’ll check your conversion setup, validate it against your actual business data, and flag gaps. If there are quick fixes, I’ll show you how to implement them yourself.

Audit Process

  1. Initial Brief (Day 1)You give me access to your Google Ads account (read-only, no changes). I ask about your business, your goals, what’s working and what isn’t.
  2. Deep Dive (Days 2–5)I audit keywords, targeting, bids, ad copy, landing pages, quality scores, and tracking. I gather data on what’s converting and what’s waste.
  3. Findings Report (Day 6)You get a written report with specific problems identified, estimated wasted spend, and prioritised recommendations. No jargon, just what to fix and why.
  4. Debrief Call (Day 7)We walk through the findings. You ask questions. I help you decide what to fix yourself and what might need hands-on help.

No Obligation to Hire Me

This is a diagnostic service. You get a report and recommendations. Whether you implement them yourself, hire someone else, or ask me to do the work — that’s up to you. Audits are fixed-scope. The cost is based on account size, and I’ll quote you on a call.

Cardiff Accounts Get Real Data

If you’re running ads in the Cardiff market or targeting Gwent and surrounding areas — Caerphilly, Talbot Green, Newport — your audit will account for local competition, CPCs, and audience behaviour. Some markets convert cheaper than others. Some keywords cost twice as much because competition is fierce. A good audit factors this in.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a PPC audit cost?

Audit pricing depends on account size and complexity. I’ll give you a quote after a brief call about your business and account history. It’s a fixed fee, paid upfront.

How long does an audit take?

Typically 5–7 business days from access to final report. If your account is very large or complex, it might take longer. I’ll let you know upfront.

What if I don't like the findings?

You get the findings regardless. If you disagree with a recommendation, ask questions on the debrief call. I’m happy to explain my reasoning. But audits aren’t negotiable — I tell you what I find.

Can you access my account safely?

Yes. I ask for read-only access only. I never make changes during an audit (unless you ask me to). All account access is logged. You can revoke my access anytime.

What happens after the audit?

That’s your choice. Some clients implement recommendations themselves. Some ask me to do ongoing management. Some hire someone else. The audit stands on its own.

Do you audit accounts in Cardiff and Wales specifically?

Yes. I audit accounts across the UK, including Cardiff, Gwent, Caerphilly, Newport, and surrounding areas. Regional market dynamics are part of my analysis.
