You Don't Want a Relationship. You Want Answers.

You’ve got Google Ads running. You’re not sure if they’re working. You don’t know if you should hire someone or try to fix it yourself. A full audit cuts through the uncertainty. You get a clear report of what’s broken, what’s working, and what’s wasting money. Then you decide your next move.

What's Included in a PPC Audit

What You Get

A written report identifying the biggest money-wasters and quick wins. Not fluffy. Not salesy. Just: here’s what’s broken, here’s the priority order to fix it, here’s the ROI of each fix. Whether you hire someone to do it or tackle it yourself is your call.

Typical Findings in Stamford and Leicestershire Accounts

I’ve audited hundreds of businesses. Common issues: businesses in Stamford, Market Deeping, and Bourne often bid on too many broad keywords without enough negative keywords, so they’re paying for clicks from Peterborough or London when they only want local customers. Trades businesses often don’t track phone calls properly, so they think campaigns aren’t working when actually the phones are ringing. Ecommerce shops often have shopping campaigns cannibalising search campaigns, wasting budget. An audit finds these within a few hours.

The Audit Process

  1. Initial Brief20-minute call. What are your goals? What’s your budget? What does success look like? Any recent changes or suspicions about what’s broken?
  2. Account DiveYou give me read-only access to your Google Ads account and analytics. I spend 3–6 hours reviewing campaigns, keywords, search term reports, and tracking setup.
  3. AnalysisI identify the gaps: wasted spend, tracking issues, structural problems, missed opportunities. I calculate rough ROI on each fix.
  4. Report & DebriefYou get a written report, then a call to walk through findings and priorities. I answer questions about the recommendations.

Who Should Get an Audit

You’ve been running ads for at least three months. You’re spending enough that waste hurts (usually £300/month or more). You want to know if the campaigns are salvageable or if you need to start fresh. You’re considering hiring someone and want to understand what you’re paying for. Or you’ve just taken over accounts from someone else and want to know what they left you with. Any of those? An audit is the right move.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a PPC audit take?

3–6 hours of analysis work, spread over a week. Your time commitment is one 20-minute call at the start and one 45-minute debrief call at the end.

What if I don't have conversion tracking set up?

That’s usually one of the biggest findings. An audit will expose it and I’ll explain the impact. Setting it up is then priority one before any other optimisations.

Will you recommend hiring you after the audit?

Not necessarily. If your campaigns are fundamentally sound and you just need tactical tweaks, I might recommend you handle it yourself or find someone cheaper. I’m not here to upsell you into retainer work.

Can you audit Google Shopping or Microsoft Ads?

Google Shopping yes—I’ll review it as part of a full audit. Microsoft Ads separately, yes, though it’s less common. Ask in the initial brief.

What if the audit finds very little wrong?

I’ll say so. Not every account is a mess. Sometimes campaigns are well-structured and the issue is just expectation-setting or budget constraints. The report will reflect that.

Do you audit Stamford and Leicestershire businesses specifically?

Yes, but I also audit businesses nationwide and internationally. The audit process is the same—what matters is your Google Ads data, not your location.
