What an audit actually does

You’re spending money on Google Ads. But is it working? An audit pulls your account data, competitor landscape, and tracking setup, then gives you a clear picture: where the money’s going, what’s converting, what’s wasteful, and what’s missing. You get a written report with specific fixes, no fluff, and no follow-up pressure. Fix it yourself, hire someone to fix it, or come back to me. Audit is done.

What I'll review

Why audit now?

Most Google Ads accounts I pull have real waste—keywords that drain budget without converting, competitors eating your spend, bid strategy fighting your goal, or tracking that’s incomplete. A one-time audit costs less than a month of management and often saves 20–40% of wasted spend. For Wymondham and Leicestershire businesses, that’s real cash back in your pocket. You don’t have to hire me to manage the account; just get the diagnosis and decide what to do.

The audit process

  1. Get accessYou give me read-only access to your Google Ads account (or export your data). Takes 2 minutes. I’ll also ask about your business—margins, customer acquisition cost, seasonality, current challenges.
  2. Analysis (3–5 days)I pull 90 days of history, benchmark competitor spend, review tracking setup, and model what fixes could unlock. No guesses; pure data.
  3. ReportWritten findings: what’s working, what’s wasting money, what’s missing, and a prioritised list of fixes. Clear recommendations, no jargon. If you want, we can do a call to walk through it.

What you'll get

A detailed written report (typically 15–25 pages depending on account complexity) that breaks down performance by campaign, identifies waste, flags tracking gaps, and gives you a ranked list of fixes. The goal is that you—or anyone you hire—can read it and immediately know where to focus. I won’t oversell what’s possible or promise magic. I’ll tell you honestly whether your spend is working or where it’s being wasted.

Frequently asked questions

What if I don't have a Google Ads account yet?

An audit wouldn’t help you. I’d recommend a strategy consultation instead—we’d design the account structure before you launch. That’s different from auditing existing spend.

How much does an audit cost?

It depends on account complexity and scope. Typically £500–£1,500. I’ll give you an exact quote after we talk through your account on the initial call.

How long does it take?

3–5 days from the time I have access to when you get the report. If you need it faster, we can talk urgent turnaround; I’ll let you know if it’s possible.

Can you audit an agency's work?

Yes. If you’re working with an agency and want independent feedback, I can review their account setup, bidding, copy, and reporting. Useful for vendor accountability or before you switch vendors.

I'm based in Wymondham. Do you understand local search behaviour?

I know Leicestershire well and have worked with businesses across the region. Wymondham, Melton Mowbray, Oakham—I understand the competitive landscape. On the call, I’ll ask about your local customer and market, and that context goes into the audit.

What happens after the audit?

That’s up to you. You get the report, you implement fixes yourself, you hire someone, or you ask me to manage the account going forward. No pressure. The audit stands alone.

Need a clear picture of your Google Ads spend?

Let's talk through your account. In 5 minutes, I'll know whether an audit would be useful and give you a ballpark quote. No obligation to proceed.
