The audit: find the money you're losing

Most Google Ads accounts have obvious waste. Bad bid strategies. Keywords attracting cheap clicks that never convert. Ad copy that doesn’t match the landing page. Conversion tracking that’s broken or incomplete. You can’t optimise what you don’t measure.

An audit is a deep look at your account — one time, fixed scope, no strings attached. I’ll send you a report with specific findings, ranked by how much money they’re probably costing you, plus what to do about each one. Then it’s your decision whether to hire me to fix them or take the findings to your current team.

What I check in an audit

Why audits matter

If your Google Ads account hasn’t been touched seriously in 6+ months, or it was set up by someone who’s moved on, there’s almost always waste. Maybe £500/month. Maybe £2,000. The audit usually pays for itself in the first month by showing you what to pause or fix. No need to hire me; you can take the findings to your current team or do it yourself.

Honest findings, no selling

Sometimes the audit finds that your account is actually running pretty well. I’ll tell you that too. I won’t manufacture problems to justify hiring me.

How audits are scoped

Frequently asked questions

How much does an audit cost?

I quote based on account size and complexity, usually £400–£800 for a standard scope. Complex accounts are more. I’ll give you a fixed price before I start work.

How long does the audit take?

I’ll have findings and a report to you within 5 business days of starting. The actual audit work is a few hours, then I write it up.

Do I have to hire you to implement the findings?

No. The audit report is yours to share with your team, current agency, or anyone else. I’ll explain the findings clearly so whoever reads it can take action. That said, if you want me to implement the recommendations, I offer hands-on management starting from £300/month.

Can you audit accounts in Much Wenlock specifically?

Yes, absolutely. Regardless of where your business is based — Much Wenlock, Bridgnorth, Shrewsbury, or anywhere in Shropshire — I can audit your Google Ads account remotely. The account itself is all I need.

What format is the report?

I’ll send you a detailed document (usually a PDF or Google Doc) with findings broken down by section, screenshots where relevant, specific examples from your account, and a prioritised list of what to fix first.

Do I need to know anything about Google Ads to understand the audit?

No. I’ll explain everything in plain English, not jargon. The report is written for business owners, not technical people.
