You're spending money on Google Ads but something feels off

Maybe you can’t get clarity on why your CPA is high. Maybe your in-house team is overwhelmed and you’re not sure what’s actually being optimised. Maybe an agency quoted you a five-figure retainer and you want an independent review before committing. Or maybe you’re just curious whether your current setup is actually any good. That’s where an audit comes in. I’ll review your account, spot structural problems and wasted spend, and give you a clear report on what to fix.

What a PPC audit covers

The output: a concrete report, not fluff

You get a written audit report. No 50-slide deck. No vanity metrics. Just findings: what’s working, what’s bleeding money, and a priority list of things to fix. I’ll tell you honestly if your ads are fine or if there’s room to improve. I’ve audited accounts across ecommerce and home services across the UK, including Seaham and County Durham. Most have something fixable; some don’t.

You're under no obligation

This is a diagnostic. You get the report and decide what to do with it. You might fix things yourself. You might hire an agency. You might hire me for ongoing management. That’s your choice.

Audit process

  1. You give me accessI request read-only access to your Google Ads account and Google Analytics. Takes 5 minutes to set up.
  2. I review everythingI spend 4–8 hours diving into your account structure, performance data, keywords, ads, landing pages, and tracking.
  3. Written reportYou get a clear report within 5 working days. Findings, priorities, and (if you want) a follow-up call to walk through it.

Common findings from Seaham and County Durham audits

Most accounts I audit have the same patterns: Keywords spread too thin across campaigns (impossible to optimise). Landing pages that don’t match ads (high bounce rate, low conversion rate). Conversion tracking missing or broken (so nobody knows which keywords actually convert). Bid strategy set to impressions or clicks instead of conversions (optimising for the wrong thing). These are fixable. The audit will tell you exactly which ones apply to you.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an audit cost?

I quote on a call based on account complexity and ad spend size. Typical audits run £400–900. You’ll know the exact fee before we start.

How long does it take?

You’ll have the report within 5 working days. Turnaround can be faster if you need it urgently.

Will you recommend that I hire you?

I’ll be honest. If your account is fine, I’ll say so. If it needs management, I’ll recommend it. But you can also take the report and hire another consultant, or fix things yourself. The audit stands on its own.

What if I don't have Google Analytics set up?

I’ll still audit your Google Ads account and spot structural problems. But understanding conversion tracking fully requires Analytics. I’ll note where data is missing.

Do you audit accounts for Seaham businesses only?

I audit accounts for businesses anywhere in the UK, including Seaham, County Durham, and nearby regions like Sunderland and Peterlee. The account review is the same whether you’re local or remote.

What if I'm currently using an agency?

You can absolutely hire me to audit your agency’s work. You’ll get an independent review. Some clients use audits to pressure their agency to improve; others use them to decide whether to switch. It’s your choice what to do with the findings.
