You have someone running your ads — should you have a second opinion?

Maybe they’re doing fine. Maybe they’re not. Either way, a senior strategic review is worth the cost. I audit thousands of Google Ads accounts. I see patterns. Most businesses either overspend on brand keywords or completely miss audience segments that should be profitable.

This role is fractional: you keep your current setup, but I spot-check strategy, flag missed opportunities, and challenge assumptions. Think of it as executive review for your ad account.

What I typically review

In Gerrards Cross, you're paying London money for clicks

High CPCs mean you can’t afford sloppy targeting. Every wasted pound is felt. A strategic audit in high-competition areas like Buckinghamshire often pays for itself immediately.

Why strategic guidance, not full takeover?

You may already have someone managing your account daily. That person does the execution. My role is different — I come in to stress-test strategy, ask uncomfortable questions, and suggest redirects. Some businesses prefer this to handing over full control. Some use it as training for their in-house team. Some do it once a year just to verify they’re on track.

How a consultation works

  1. Share accessYou grant me read access to your Google Ads account (and Google Analytics if relevant). No one else needs to know I’m looking.
  2. Deep auditI review campaign structure, recent performance, bid settings, audience config, and historical data. Takes a few hours to a few days depending on account size.
  3. Strategy callI walk you through findings. What’s working, what’s not, where the risk is, and what wins look like.
  4. Recommendations & next stepsYou decide what to implement. Your team executes, or I help guide the changes.

One-off or ongoing?

Either. Some clients want a single audit every 12 months. Others prefer monthly check-ins. Ongoing advisory pricing is the same as full management — from £300/month — but with less hands-on execution. We’ll work out what works for you on a call.

Frequently asked questions

What if I don't like your recommendations?

Fair enough. I’m not here to force change. My job is to give you clear, honest advice. If you disagree, say so. Sometimes your business context is better than the data suggests. I’m not offended if you don’t take my recommendations.

Do I need to hire you to implement changes?

No. You can take my recommendations to your current team or agency and ask them to implement. Or I can help guide the changes for a fee. Your choice.

How long does an audit take?

Depends on account complexity. A small account: 2–3 hours. A multi-campaign account with years of history: 1–2 days. I’ll estimate upfront.

Can you review accounts in specific sectors (e.g. Buckinghamshire home services)?

Yes. I specialise in ecommerce, D2C, and home services. If you’re in a sector I don’t know well, I’ll tell you. My audit is still valuable, but I’ll flag where sector knowledge could help.

What if your audit shows my ads are fine?

Then I say so. Honestly. No PPC consultant makes money by telling you everything’s working, so most won’t. I will. If your strategy is solid and your ROI is healthy, you don’t need change.

Do you share findings in writing?

Yes. You get a written summary — findings, recommendations, risk flags, and suggested priorities. It’s yours to use however you want.
