When you need a consultant, not an agency

Maybe you’ve got someone managing ads—in-house, freelancer, or agency—but something feels off. You’re not sure if the bids are right. Nobody’s explaining the strategy. Or you’ve got money to spend and want to know where it actually should go.

That’s where fractional advisory comes in. Not full handover. Not paying for a huge team. Just senior experience, on your schedule, answering the questions that actually matter.

What this looks like

Why fractional makes sense

Full-time management (mine or an agency’s) costs £300+/month minimum. That’s right if you need day-to-day optimisation.

But if you’ve got someone running ads already—or you’re doing it yourself—what you usually need is smarter strategy. A monthly check-in. Someone saying, “Stop, this bid is wrong.” That’s fractional. Same expertise. Lower commitment. You pay for strategy, not someone watching your account 40 hours a week.

It works especially well if you’re between £1,000–£3,000/month in spend. Big enough to need real strategy, too small to justify full management cost.

How fractional advisory works

  1. Consultation call30 minutes. You walk me through your current setup, goals, concerns. I ask hard questions. By the end, you’ll know if fractional is right for you.
  2. We agree on the scopeMonthly calls? Quarterly strategy? Ad-hoc questions? Email access? I’ll quote you based on what you actually need, not a standard package.
  3. You keep control, I adviseYou or your manager keeps running day-to-day. I show up monthly (or on-call) to make sure the strategy’s sound and you’re not wasting money.

Pricing

I quote fractional work per scope. Starting point is from £300/month for one strategy call and async feedback. If you need more—multiple calls, more detailed audits, training—I’ll quote that on a call. No surprises.

Who this is for

You’re a business owner or marketing manager. You might be in Loughborough, Leicester, Leicestershire, or anywhere in the UK—geography doesn’t matter for fractional work. You’re running Google Ads but you’re not an expert, and you want someone senior to sanity-check your approach. Or you’re doing it yourself and want to level up. Either way, this works.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from hiring an agency in Leicestershire?

Agencies hire you for full management. You get someone—usually less experienced—running your account 40 hours a week. You pay £300–£1,000+/month depending on spend. Fractional advisory is just the strategy and oversight. You or your current team do the day-to-day. You only pay for the expertise you need.

Can I hire you if I already have someone managing my ads?

Yes. I’ll review their work, give you feedback, and jump in if things are off. Some managers love the external sanity check. Others get defensive. I’ll be respectful but honest.

What if I want you to step in and run ads temporarily while I hire someone?

That’s not fractional advisory—that’s part-time management. Happy to do it, but I’ll quote it differently. Usually 3–6 months, full access, daily optimisation. We can discuss.

Do Loughborough businesses have unique Google Ads challenges?

Every market’s different. Loughborough is industrial-heritage with strong manufacturing, but also growing ecommerce and trades. The targeting strategy changes depending on your niche. That’s exactly what a strategy call untangles.

How much time am I committing to this?

On your end? One call a month, maybe 30–60 minutes. You might also send me screenshots or questions in Slack. That’s it. I’m the one doing the heavy thinking.

What if I want full management after a trial?

Then we transition. I’ll move to full account management at standard rates (from £300/month). No problem.
