You already have someone. You just need a second opinion.

Maybe your in-house person is solid but overloaded. Or your agency is doing okay but you’re not sure if you’re paying for results or just activity. Or you’ve hit a plateau and need fresh thinking. I come in as a senior strategist — I audit, I advise, I recommend. You decide what to act on.

What fractional consulting looks like

Consulting is different from hands-on management. You keep your current setup — your team, your ad manager, your agency. But you get a senior expert you can call on for strategy sessions, account reviews, and tactical fixes. It might be a monthly strategy call. It might be a deep audit of your account. It might be building a keyword strategy or testing a new angle before you go live. You’re buying expertise, not ongoing labour.

Common reasons clients bring in a consultant

How consulting works

  1. Agree the scopeWhat’s the problem or question? Account audit, strategy review, keyword analysis, or ongoing monthly advisory?
  2. I dive inI review your account, pull the data, identify problems and opportunities, and build a clear recommendation.
  3. Present findingsI walk you through the audit report or strategy. We talk through options and what to do next.
  4. Optional: ongoing check-insIf you want monthly strategy calls to keep you on track, we can set that up too.

When to hire a consultant vs. an agency

Hire me as a consultant if you already have someone running your ads and just want expert oversight. Hire an agency (like Growth PPC, or bring me on as a management client) if you need hands-on daily management. Consulting is cheaper and lighter touch — perfect if you want strategy without outsourcing control.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between consulting and agency management?

Consulting: I advise. You or your team act. Typically a fixed scope—audit, strategy review, or monthly check-ins. You keep control.

Agency management: I own the account. I handle all optimisation, testing, and scaling day-to-day. Hands-off for you, fully managed by me.

Can you do a quick audit of my current Google Ads account?

Yes. Give me access, I’ll spend a few hours digging, and I’ll send you a detailed report on what’s working, what’s broken, and what’s missing. We can discuss findings in a call if you want.

How much does consulting cost?

Pricing depends on scope. A quick audit or a single strategy session might be in the £300–£500 range. Ongoing monthly consulting is typically from £300 per month. For specific work, I’ll quote you after we talk through what you need.

Do I have to act on your recommendations?

No. I give you honest advice. You decide what to do with it. Some clients act on everything. Others take one idea, test it, and come back in 3 months with results. My job is to give you the best thinking—your job is to make the business call.

Can you work with my existing ad manager or agency in Gwent or Newport?

Absolutely. I’ve consulted alongside in-house teams, freelancers, and agencies plenty of times. We’re not in competition—I’m there to raise the game. Your team and I will collaborate on strategy and reviews.

How much time does an audit take?

Depends on account size. For a typical ecommerce or services account, I can do a solid audit in 4–6 hours. For larger accounts with 20+ campaigns, it might be 8–10 hours. I’ll scope it upfront.
