When a consultant makes sense

You’ve got ads running. Maybe you or your team manage them. But something doesn’t feel right — spend is high, conversions are flat, or you’re unsure if you’re bidding on the right things. That’s where a consultant comes in.

I’m not here to take over. I’m here to diagnose, advise, and point you in the right direction.

What a consultant does

Why fractional expertise matters

A senior consultant is expensive full-time. But for 5-10 hours a month, you get someone with 12 years in Google Ads, £2M+ in managed spend, and zero patience for vanity metrics or guesswork. You keep control; I keep you honest.

How it works

  1. First callWe talk through your account: budget, goals, current performance, team setup. I ask tough questions.
  2. Diagnosis (optional)I audit your account for 2-3 hours, document findings, and present a priorities list.
  3. Ongoing advisoryMonthly or quarterly calls. You implement changes, run questions by me, get strategic input on new channels or scaling.

Pricing

From £300/month for ongoing advisory. If you want a standalone audit first, we’ll quote that on a call. No padding, no artificial minimums.

The hard truth

Not every account needs monthly advice. If your ads are solid and your team is sharp, maybe quarterly check-ins make sense. If you’re bleeding money, we might uncover issues that need more than consulting. I’ll tell you straight.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work with Shropshire businesses remotely?

Entirely. Location doesn’t matter. I’ve worked with clients across Telford, Wellington, Shrewsbury, and beyond. All we need is video calls and access to your Google Ads account.

Can you help if I'm using an agency but want a second opinion?

Yes. That’s exactly a consultant’s role. I can audit your account independently and give you an honest assessment of what’s working and what isn’t.

What if your advice conflicts with my agency's approach?

Then we dig into the data. My job is to be honest about what the numbers show. If both approaches have merit, I’ll explain the trade-offs. If one is clearly better, I’ll say so.

How much time do I need to commit?

For ongoing advisory? Maybe 30 minutes to an hour a month on strategy calls. The rest is you implementing, me answering questions async if needed.

What if I need full management later?

We can transition to that. But I’ll only do it if I think it’s the right move. If your team is capable and just needs guidance, advisory is the better deal.

Is there a contract or minimum term?

No contract, no term. Call month-to-month. If it’s not working, we pause. If you want to scale to full management, we talk about it.

Let's discuss your account. I'll ask what's working, what's not, and where the gaps are. Then I'll outline what a consulting relationship looks like.
