When you need a PPC consultant, not an agency

Maybe you have an in-house marketing person, a junior running your ads, or an agency you’re not quite confident in. You don’t need someone to manage everything — you need someone who can audit the strategy, spot the blind spots, and give you honest feedback. That’s consulting. I spend 12 years running £2M+ of Google Ads directly, which means I know what questions to ask and what data to dig into. I’m not trying to build a portfolio of case studies; I’m trying to fix the actual problems in your account.

What consulting typically covers

How fractional consulting works

  1. Scope callTell me what you’re trying to figure out. Budget questions, strategy doubts, setup issues? I’ll suggest what I can help with.
  2. Audit & analysisI review your account, campaigns, keywords, and data. I’ll ask your current manager or team for clarity where needed.
  3. Recommendation sessionWe sit down (video call or in person if you’re in Folkestone or Kent) and I walk through findings and priorities. You decide what to action.

Works for ecommerce, D2C, and trades

Whether you’re selling online or providing home services across Folkestone, Dover, Ashford, Canterbury or beyond, the consulting approach is the same: understand your model, audit your execution, give you actionable insight. I’m not going to recommend something that doesn’t fit your business or budget.

Pricing for consulting

Consulting projects are quoted per scope. Let’s start with a conversation about what you’re trying to figure out — then I’ll give you a fixed fee. No hourly meters, no open-ended retainers unless that’s what makes sense for your situation.

Frequently asked questions

Can you consult if I'm in Folkestone or nearby?

Yes. I work UK-wide remote, but I’m happy to meet in person if you’re in Kent or the south coast. For most consulting, video calls work fine.

What if I want ongoing fractional support after the audit?

That’s fine. We can structure it as ongoing fractional (e.g. 4 hours/month of strategy and review), and pricing would be tailored to your needs. But let’s start with the audit and go from there.

Do I need to share my entire account with you?

For a proper audit, yes — I need to see the full picture (keywords, bids, audiences, conversion tracking). What I see stays confidential. I’m not here to steal your data; I’m here to find the problems.

What if my current agency gets defensive?

That’s their problem. You’re allowed to get a second opinion. I’ve worked with agencies before and I always recommend working with them collaboratively. But if they won’t share access, it’s a red flag.

How long does a typical audit take?

Depends on account size. Small to mid-size: 2–3 weeks from start to recommendations. Larger or more complex: longer. I’ll give you a timeline upfront.

Will you criticise my current person/agency?

I’ll be honest. If something’s wrong, I’ll tell you — but I’m not here to trash people. I’m here to solve problems. Sometimes what looks wrong on the surface is actually fine; sometimes it’s a bigger issue. I’ll explain.

Need a senior PPC voice on your strategy?

Let's talk about what you're trying to figure out. No obligation, no pressure to hire ongoing. Sometimes a good audit is all you need.
